About H.E.A.L.

Founded February 14, 2013, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Our founding members are of Liberian descent who have either directly or indirectly experienced the impact of a devastating 14-year civil war in their homeland. The war destroyed most of the country's educational institutions and left an entire generation with virtually no schools, uneducated, and many orphans. Though not derivative of a civil war, we observed a replicate of similar need for educational assistance in the Atlanta Metro-Area. These are the driving forces for our call to action.

Our conviction is that "we who are strong have the obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves." The scope of our services is primarily focused on orphans based in Liberia, West Africa and the youth in under-served communities in Atlanta, Georgia and its environs.
