Founded February 14, 2013, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
Our founding members are of Liberian descent who have either directly or indirectly experienced the impact of a devastating 14-year civil war in their homeland. The war destroyed most of the country’s educational institutions and left an entire generation with virtually no schools and uneducated. Though not derivative of a civil war, we observed a replicate of similar need for educational assistance in the Atlanta Metro-Area. These are the driving forces for our call to action.
Our conviction is that education is the single most permanent endowment any person can receive to improve his or her life. The scope of our services is primarily focused on underprivileged grade-school youth based in Liberia, West Africa and the Atlanta Metro-Area.
H.E.A.L, Inc. focuses on providing learning materials, while also focusing on the basic needs of the children we serve. We are determined to build learning centers that not only provide students with adequate resources to create a better learning environment, but also a foundation for them to build core values to become responsible citizens in their communities.
To create better, more sustainable opportunities through Educational Development, Healthcare Awareness, and Youth Empowerment.
To eliminate illiteracy and enhance the dignity and quality of life for the individuals we serve.
